Creamy Polenta With Mushrooms And Garlic Sauce

So, what do you say about a creamy polenta? Polenta is such a easy and light course. And versatile.You can add to polenta some butter (butter is the secret!!!!)  and parmesan and you’ll get a creamy and flufy dinner dish. You can eat polenta with hot milk: quick and easy, or you can add some white danish cheese and top with sour cream and you will get a delicious no meat dish. For this evening I recomand you to try a creamy polenta with mushrooms and garlic sauce. If you like, you can add some choped bacon, lightly roasted……..


  • 150 g polenta
  • 500 ml water
  • 20 g butter
  • parmesan (optional)
  • 250 mushrooms
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 150 g sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons of olive oil
  • salt & pepper


Step 01

Bring water to boil  and add  a pinch of salt. Gradually add the polenta, stirring constantly. It’s very important: don’t add the polenta too quickly, and stir constantly. Add the butter and stir until it’s melt. Also you can add parmesan or danish white cheese, if you like

Step 02

In a lightly oil pan cook the mushrooms  for 5 min, add salt and pepper and stir well. Crush 3 garlic cloves and stir with 2 teaspoons of olive oil until become a cream.Add the garlic sauce to the mushrooms and stir well.Set  aside for 10 min. On a big dish set polenta, top with sour  cream than add the mushrooms mix. Simple and delicious.
