We all want to have something special for the New Year’s Eve. The bad news is that the ingredients are the same every year (nobody invent new ingredients). The good news is that we can use the same ingredinets in different combinations. I’m sure that you all know that old combination among sauerkraut cabbage and pork or smoked bacon. I’m lucky, I have a mother with imagination. This recipe is one of her best main dishes.  The  sauerkraut cabbage roll recipe presents you  another way to cook  sauerkratut cabbage and bacon (pork). Old ingredients in new recipes.  Quick and easy.

For this New Year’s Eve I decided to make Sauerkraut Cabbage Roll. This  delicous roll that can be appetizer if you want to serve it cold, or a amazing main dish if you like to serve it hot. Impress your guests with this traditional recipe, in a new form.

In a pan roast the chopped  bacon. Grate potatoes, drain them, then in a large bowl mix them with eggs, bread crumbs, flour, chopped garlic, salt and pepper.

Lay the mix on a grased griddle pan, and bake it for 20-25 min.

Step 02

Mix the chopped sauerkraut  cabbage  with the parsley and spread it on the potatoes  layer.

Roll over carrefuly the layer, and you’ll have a delicious sauerkraut cabbage  roll.

You can serve it hot, with sour cream or cold.
