Here is the most simple shortbread recipe.You will get the basic dough for shortbread cookies, and you can add any flavour you like.You can make bourbon vanilla or chocolate cookies, biscuits that melt in the mought, cinamon or anise cookies for Christmas and a lot of others shortbread cookies.Use your imagination
In a large bowl cream together the butter and sugar. Add flour, the baking powder and the yolk and mix well, until is doughy. Wrap the dough in clingfilm and refrigerate for 30 to 45 minutes.
Sprinkle board with the flour roll out the dough to 5–6mm thick and cut into any shapes you like. For Halloween use bats & ghosts shapes. For Christmas you can make little stars, boots, Christmas trees, just use your imagination.
Bake for 15 min, than sprinkle with sugar. You can use melted chocolate for decorations; for Christmas you can use natural colorants with white melted chocolate.
